Dakota has been working with Haymarket since 2013. Her upbeat personality is infectious and her preparedness on the road is second to none. Growing up on her family‘s farm, her love for horses was sparked since before she could walk. Western breeds (Appaloosas, Quarter Horses, Paints) are her favorite and she’s been known to ride her horses free in the field. Finally, Dakota has a knack for learning! She has a Bachelor’s degree in Conflict Analysis and Resolution with a double minor in psychology and intelligence analysis.

Kathy has diverse, lifelong experience with horses, competing in Eventing, Driving, Hunter/Jumpers, Dressage, and Western Pleasure. She also had her own Warmblood breeding program for several years. These days, she stays busy bringing along her young dressage horse and also runs a boarding facility for retirees. With all of this experience, you can see why Kathy is valuable as both a vet assistant on the road and taking client calls in the office!
Prior to joining Haymarket Vet Service, Liam gained a wide variety of experience from his career that first took him around the world and then landed him a position in Prince William County. Now, you’ll usually find him managing the office, but he makes “guest appearances” on the road assisting the vets or dropping off medications to your barn. He’s quick to answer the phone but be prepared to joke around with him when he does! When not working at HVS, you’ll find Liam with his family, running the trails of the Battlefield, or in the barn with their four mini donkeys.
Account Services Specialist
Mary is the person that keeps our “books” organized at Haymarket Vet Service! Prior to being our bookkeeper, she had been an auditor for the federal government for over 30 years. Her favorite things about working here are speaking with our clients regularly and ensuring that all of their billing questions and problems are resolved. When she’s not working, Mary enjoys spending time with her family and three dogs, Copper, Chewy, and Teddy.
Growing up, Allie had a life full of horses! Our clients benefit from all these years of experience when she is answering the phones here. She is also a licensed pharmacy technician, which makes her very helpful around the HVS pharmacy. She used to show Sky, her Paint hors, at breed shows in Western and English. Now Sky is living the “laid back lifestyle” while Allie is busy with her daughter, Remington.
Before starting her family, Emily was a vet assistant at HVS. Now that the kids are older, she’s back on the team in the office! Emily grew up taking riding lessons before she found her passion with soccer but has always had a love for all animals. When Emily is not busy here, you can find her at the motorcross track with her husband cheering on their 2 boys, or ringside while their daughter is riding her pony, Chicken Bob.
Joanne is always willing to go the extra mile when communicating with clients about their horses! She grew up in Southern Maryland, riding whenever she had the opportunity, and gained a lot of experience over the years. She’s now an integral part of the office staff and enjoys getting to know all of our clients. When not at the office, she spends time with her husband, two children, and their horses on a small farm in Rappahannock.
